Mar 8, 2026:  Greater Portland Area Transit Metrogaine

Take 3, 6, or 9 hours and a TriMet transit day pass to find virtual controls from 15+ venues in the greater Portland Metro area. Use your time on buses and trains to rest, while planning how you'll find the controls around your next destination. Or skip the rest and run or walk between the different venues.  Do this as a team and have one phone running the MapRun® app and another phone running the TriMet app to find out when and where to get your next transit ride.

Apr, 12, 2026: Silver Falls Point-to-Point

Venture forth into the forest around the Silver Falls State Park Smith Creek Village. We will have eight point-to-point courses (something for all skill levels) to choose from. If you don't have your own SI card (“finger stick”) you can rent one from us during registration. If you camp overnight, you can hike the 9-mile trail of 10 waterfalls the day before the event.

May 3, 2026:  Cedar Mill - Bethany Metrogaine

Take 1, 2, 4, or 6 hours to collect as many points as possible by visiting control sites shown on your map. If you are new to orienteering, take a quick beginner’s class and then do the 1- or 2-hour course. If you are experienced and want additional adventure, do one of the longer courses. Use the MapRun phone app to monitor your time, control sites found, and points acquired. Afterwards share your experiences with others at the event social.
