Event Description

This metrogaine competition explores the 23 square-kilometer Tigard communities of Summerlake and Bull Mountain plus western King City. You have 2, 4, or 6 hours to find as many controls as possible in any order. Bring a watch to help avoid a point penalty for finishing late. Each solo competitor or team uses the MapRun® phone app for timing and verification of controls found.

You may do your course as an individual or as part of a team, but if you are part of a team, you must remain with your team at all times while competing.

Your placement in the results is dependent on the total number of points that you earn for controls found. Tie scores on the same course are broken by the overall times. The point value of each control is determined by the tens digit on the control number (for example, control 38 is worth 30 points).

This is an almost all-weather event that can be postponed if dangerous weather conditions exist to prevent traveling to the event or running/walking during the event. In the event of a postponement, we will announce any scheduling changes to everyone who has registered for this event.
