Event Description

Our event at Silver Falls State Park will be Mt Hood Orienteering’s first technical forest event as well as its first event using control flags and electronic punching. You can expect both clearings and forests with low undergrowth plus occasional historical artifacts left in the forest from the days before the venue became a state park.  There are also streams to cross, so don’t expect that your feet will stay dry. Be ready for anything…including a lot of forest beauty. For an extra special outing, make this a two-day event and hike the Trail of 10 Waterfalls the day before the event. Camping and cabins might still be available in the park.
