SUMMERLAKE SCORE-O RESULTS
Competitive (32 Participants, 18 Starts)
We had a nice break in the recent rainy weather and a great turnout for the Summerlake event. Each of the courses had plenty of participants and we even had two kiddos do the extra Kidd-O course.
Based on the 120-minute course results, that time limit seems appropriate for the 4-sq-km map. Our participants had impressive results, and it appears that even faster runners would have been challenged to find all the controls in the time allowed.
The placement for Control #50 on the map wasn't accurate, so we made sure that anyone who got near the control received credit for finding it. In the cases where a runner had a problem registering the control, we were able to look at their MapRun tracks and determine whether they had been in the center of the control circle. In those cases we adjusted the results so they received credit for their find.
