Event Description

NOTE: The Forest Service has informed us that we may not be able to use White River East Sno-Park.  They have suggested Skyline Sno-Park as a backup venue.  We're keeping our fingers crossed, but if we're forced to use Skyline we promise to keep the courses in the (truly) runnable areas.

The White River East Sno-Park event center is located next to Highway 35 at the southern base of Mt Hood. The event courses are in an area carved out by massive snow melts each year, so much of the environment is composed of many similar drainage ditches in an environment of scattered trees. The area is mostly bounded by a national forest road and the White River, so you won’t go too far if you get disoriented. This event will include all seven courses, but these courses will zig zag throughout the limited area mapped for this event, so it may be easy to be distracted by other runners.

If you want, you can make this a two-day adventure by hiking around White River North or White River West the day before (White River East is embargoed before this event). Lodging can be found at Government Camp and Welches. Camping can be found at many local campgrounds along Highways 35 and 26.
